Stoves
J.B.Fires
Ltd were the first
company to introduce coal- and log-effect gas fires to Gloucestershire
back in the 1970's. Since then the market in these fires has
spiralled. Originally quite primitive in their design and
inefficient in their use of gas, they now come with a whole
host of modern technological safety features, and are efficient
and effective heaters. As ever, they provide a more convenient
and equally attractive alternative to solid fuel.
As
with fireplaces, traditional, ornate designs in black wrought
and cast iron and brass were the first to be used with coal-effect
gas and electric fires. To complement the design of contemporary
fireplaces, fires are now available in more contemporary materials,
such as brushed stainless steel, polished cast iron, and using
pebble, driftwood and even crystal fuel effects.
Technology
has advanced such that many gas fires can be fitted into homes
without chimneys. Taking an artificial flue through an outside
wall can be a relatively simple option using either a Power
Flue (with an electric fan) or a Balanced Flue. If an outside
wall is not available, then a prefabricated flue system can
be constructed within a house to go through the roof, or a
so-called 'flueless' gas fire, using a catalytic converter,
may be an option.
We
also offer a wide range of electric fires, and both traditional
and contemporary cast iron baskets suitable for solid fuel,
like real coal and logs.
Woodburning, Multifuel, Gas and Electric
Stoves
We
believe in quality at J.B.Fires Ltd, and the types of stove
we offer reflect this. We sell the highest quality cast iron
stoves from Britain, America and Scandinavia, in a variety
of traditional matt black or coloured enamelled finishes which
will last a lifetime.
If
longevity is not a burning issue for you, then we also sell
a range of slightly cheaper, but good quality, steel stoves.
Many of these stoves have the modern features of cleanburn
technology and an airwash system. There are dedicated wood-burners,
various multifuel options, stoves converted for burning gas
or oil, and purpose built gas and electric stoves.
Many of our stoves are traditional in design, some ornate,
some rustic. We have recently introduced some contemporary,
more continental, designs to complement these to increase
your options.
